WE RECENTLY SOLD A HOME IN THE ROCKPORT AREA THAT HAD BEEN LISTED BY AN AGENCY TWO COUNTIES AWAY. SELLING A PROPERTY THAT IS LISTED BY ANOTHER AGENT IS NOT ALL THAT UNUSAL BUT THERE WERE SOMETHINGS IN THIS SALE THAT MADE WONDER IF THE SELLER HAD THOUGHT OUT WHAT THEY DID BY LISTING OUTSIDE THE LOCAL SALE AREA.
1. THEY CHARGED AN EXTRA 1% COMMISSION OR IN THIS CASE $1200.00
2. IT TOOK ABOUT 2 EXTRA MONTHS TO COMPLETE THE SALE.
3. THE HOME WAS ORIGINAL PRICED $29,000.00 MORE THAT IT SOLD FOR, AGENT DID NOT DO THEIR HOMEWORK BEFORE LISTING.
4. SELLERS AGENT WANTED TO WRITE SALES AGREEMENT IN A WAY THAT WOULD HAVE COST SELLER ANOTHER $175.00.
5. DURING SALE PROCEEDURE THE AGENT THOUGHT THAT SPENCER COUNTY WAS IN ANOTHER TIME ZONE????
